CLR - BARS ATTACKS:
Christopher Thompson, AKA C.L.R., was born in Grand Rapids, MI during the late 80's. The youngest of five children, Chris was often exposed to many things that were too mature or gritty for a child of such a young age. Chris grew up in the lower middle class of the Southeast side of Grand Rapids and seemed to find an outlet from his impoverished frustrations in sports and music. Chris was exposed to a large variety of music at a young age, Chris grew up listening to old Funk Bands to Opera to R&B/soul and even a little rock.
C.L.R. started writing music at the tender age of 9 and has consistently stayed focused on being the best artist/performer/song writer he could possibly be. C.L.R.s credentials consist of opening with live performances featuring Major label artist's such as "JC" of Bad Boy South, Performing with G.O.O.D. Music/Def Jam recording artist "Big Sean", collaborating with D-Block recording artist "Choo" and much more. He has also given back to the community by preforming for a "non violence rally" with key note speaker Rev. Jessie Jackson. C.L.R.'s music has been heard around the world on indie films such as "L.A. Proper", "The Dead Lust", "Fresh to Death" and more in the works.
C.L.R, along with his group The Fist Coalition has been all around the midwest performing in concerts, interviews and videos, getting exposure and recognition. The Fist Coalition and CLR are family through thick and thin and all are excited and support C.L.R's solo career. In the past years, C.L.R. has released projects with the help of Producers, Tone Chambers, one-20, Celdom Seen of the F.I.S.T. C.L.R is currently working on his sophomore solo album which is yet to be titled and a trilogy of mixtapes to be produced by The Shadyville Djs.all of which are expected to be released during the summer/fall of 2010.
